Purple Pig - another mediocre rib place

Good ribs seem very hard to find in Toronto, and I'd read about the Purple Pig; it sounded promissing, so my wife and I went the other day.
It wasn't awful, but really all I can say is that it was OK - another place with passable ribs in an overly sweet sauce.

We also tried Bill's Pit recently - another place I'd heard someone rave about, and another mediocre meal.

Other than the original Dipamo's (I think it's now called Phil's, or something) on College, I can't recall much in the way of decent ribs in Toronto in recent years. Although (excuse my ramblings), I found the Indian spice rubbed ribs at Universal Grill to be delectable; they're not a BBQ joint, but it's a great place in general and they always have the ribs on the menu. (And their calves liver is excellent too)

Anyone have any good ribs in the GTA lately?
