I totally agree with the person who gave Pumpkin a rave review in an earlier post. We were there last nght and loved it. Planned to go to Citrus in Chestnut Hill but found they were closed for vacation. Drove into town on a whim, and I'm very glad we did. The place is attractive and the service is very friendly. For a Tuesday night, it was fairly full. I had a wonderful appetizer of haricots verts, beets, and some very nice bleu cheese. Since I wasn't that hungry, I just had the appetizer and dessert. Dessert was a big bowl of fresh strawberries with candied orange peel. Yummy. My husband had monkfish with pasta, which he declared excellent. I think that Pumpkin is a wonderful addition to the Philly BYOB scene. Hope it doesn't become like Django. Won't be able to just drop in spur of the moment on a Tuesday night then.
P.S.-We noticed David Ansill and his wife across the room. I think it's a nice endorsement of the place that he dined here on his night off from Pif.
