Public clambakes in Portland, ME and other regional dishes?

Funiono | Jun 1, 201507:01 PM     11

Hello, we are headed to a portland, ME this summer, it will be mine and my husband's first time in New England. We have most of our trip worked out meal-wise but I was wondering if they held any clambakes for the public, Google is not helping me out! Like, here in Charleston we have certain bars/restaurants that hold weekly oyster roasts all winter long, I'm looking for something like that! Also, are there any must have regional dishes that might fly under the radar that we need to try? Thanks.
