Wife and I went to Providence Sat night for birthday dinner. Most excellent. Did 4 courses (each listed): cold appetizer(spiny lobster, foie gras torchon) hot appetizer (blue crab risotto, "chowda'"); main course (tuna, snapper); dessert (some chocolate cookie type thing, white peach melba). Very deep selection of 1/2 bottles which makes for a great meal. Avoided the tasting menu, which looked very good, but there were signature dishes on the main menu we wanted to have. Good dessert wine selection. Wish we had the room for a cheese course but were way too stuffed.
Decor is very nice. Tried to sit us in the quasi-outdoor room at first which was a bit warm so we moved inside. Great service. Unrushed between courses (unlike most of LA). Very good sommelier staff.
Will go back when the occasion calls for it. Tab for 2 of us was around $400.
There ya go!
