Progressive Dinner in WeHo

brahms | Mar 21, 200510:04 PM

some friends and i had a fun evening last monday. perhaps you might enjoy it too or have other ideas.

the idea: progressive dinner in west hollywood

the execution: park at beverly center for $1, skip all the valet charges!!

6:30 p.m. walked from beverly center to jar for mozarella monday

8225 Beverly Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90036
(323) 655-6566

it was packed, but worth the wait.

8:30 p.m. tried to go to hirozen, which was too crowded. so instead we went across the street to
mandarette cafe.

8386 Beverly Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90048-2631
(323) 655-6115

personally, i didn't enjoy the food too much, but getting a chance to see deborah messing there made up for it.

10:30 p.m. walked to ever wonderful AOC

Appellation d'Origine Contrôllée
8022 W. 3rd St.
West Hollywood, CA
(323) 653-6359

trio of duck terrine, rabbit terrine, and chicken liver pate that we ordered was the most spectacular. skirt steak was also good.

midnight or so--drove to minibar for dessert.

3413 Cahuenga Blvd W
Los Angeles, CA 90068
(323) 882-6965

all in all, it was a fabulous evening (6 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.) of eating and drinking. walking in between restaurants was great as we didn't have to worry about parking, and it helped us digest our food in between restaurants. and it cost us about $70 per person for all four restaurants, including alcohol.

so, you folks have any other ideas for similar outings? the tricky part is to find restaurants that serve small dishes, stay open late, and are close to each other.
