Just a question-
I was wondering what the general consensus was on Prix Fixe menus. If the food is sublime, service is spectacular and unpretentious, and you leave uplifted and happy (not sickly full). When i dine, I really don't want to think. If the menu is presented, basically "this is what you get", woould you all dig it? I just returned from France, and really think this is the way to go.....5 courses for about 60 bucks, with little things thrown in, (amuse bouche, sorbet)....no options. Obviously there has to be a little bit of trust in the chef.....but I trust most chefs until they let me down, and usually allow them to just cook for me without ordering, and have only been let down once. Thoughts?
