Prime Rib Roast - Rib numbers?

I know there is supposed to be a difference in the rib quality depending on what "number" they are.

But I never pay attention, and my roasts always seem fine. But I am planning on buying a three rib roast tomorrow and was wondering what your opinion is as to what numbers I might want to be on the lookout for (or avoid).

I like to ask my butcher to "Newport" my roast, that is, cut the roast from the bones then re-attach with baking twine, that way you get the joy of the bones with the ease of slicing.
