Prime Rib bday dinner - wine and corkage fees

Nancy | Nov 26, 2003 09:43 AM

Hounds - I am taking my beau to The Prime Rib for his birthday (it's a milestone one too). I've never been there before but he LOVES red meat and all the reviews here and other places have convinced me that this will be the best place for us to celebrate.

Now, about the wine: are their list prices reasonable? If not, what is the corkage fee? I don't mind paying for a good bottle but I hate getting ripped off when I know what the retail price is. I have a really nice bottle at home that I can bring (Stags Leap cab) but, if their prices are fair, I'm willing to go with something from their selection.

Any advice from recent or frequent diners Prime Rib diners would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
