Best Pre-Theater (Inexpensive, ACT)

Thanks to the postings on Chowhound my husband and I gave Sultan a try last friday before the production of Happy End at the ACT. We were a little doubtful as we made our way into the dim polished hotel dining room but were wowed by the butter chicken and by a vegetable dish the kitchen prepared specially for us following our server's suggestion that the vegetable curry on the menu was too similar to the sauce used in the butter chicken. Everything was fresh tasting and full flavored. We had a lovely relaxing dinner and made it in time for curtain two blocks up at the ACT. Tab for 3 beers, papadams, butter chicken, vegetable curry, rice, garlic naan, and mango kulfi was around 48 including tax and tip. An excellent dinner! We'll be back.
