My Brazilian friend and I went to Port Chester yesterday. My intent was to introduce her to Margot Signature's appetizers. We drove past my beloved Tortillaria Gemeles, and I noticed the inside of the place looked suspiciously different (REMODELLED).
Then we entered Margot's Sig. Only, it wasn't Margot's Sig anymore!!! I felt like I was in a Howard Duff episode of the Twilight Zone. It is now a Peruvian place. Well, if we have to eat Peruvian, we should go to Brisa Misti, up Main @ the corner. BUT IT WAS CLOSED..."that sign post up ahead...." Fortunately, my wife noticed that there was a restaurant a couple of storefronts up with the same name Brisa Misti. It was my Peruvian Rotissere chicken place in newer, bigger and just as crowded digs. Stick to the chicken and and the alfajores and tolerate anything else. But Port Chester needs to be re examined before recommending. Things change quickly in 3 months
