POPCORN ANYONE??? [moved from Washington, DC &Baltimore board]

Okay--if you love popcorn--as I do, what are your favorite brands- types (meaning microwaved--"old fasioned" popeed--or store bought).

I liek Pop Secret microwaved over the other brands. It really puffs up nicely and the brand offers options for different types--"movie butter"--Low salt, etc.

I absolutely love the Smartfood cheese popcorn that is in the individual bags. This stuff is so good and "healthy."

Once in a while I buy (only for looking back on my childhood) Jiffypop--cooked onto of the stove. It is fun and great for kids. I used to love to heat a big cookpot with oil and after the oil heated dump in some Orville Redenbacher kernels. Loved to hear the sizzle then pop and watch th pan's lid lift up as the kernels expanded.

Do you top your popcorn with anything more then salt and butter? If I am really being decandent and throwing health cautions to the wind--melted butter and grated Parmasean cheese. Melted butter and powdered mustard (just a touch). Friends of mine sprinkle Old Bay on the buttered popcorn.

Sometimes I'll do a sweet version--melted caraamel (from Smucker's jar). It's a killer but so good and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.

Looking for so new ideas. I know I won't be disappointed. FoiGras
