Pollo Campero

Tried out the one in Langley Park. The crowds were not overwhelming, but it looked a bit deceiving since the number of people on line were bunched with those already sitting down eating. It was harder navigating the traffic on the street than to find a spot in their parking lot. People getting takeout looked like they were stocking up for the cold winter, as they brought their own boxes to hold their grub.

The chicken is already preboxed, so it's easily exchanged after cash is paid. The chicken looked greasy, but tasted good, almost like KFC but less poofy batter. The meat was marinated also. They don't include biscuits with their chicken, so if you want biscuits, you have to buy the combo. $10 for 8 pieces (2 breasts, 2 thighs, 2 wings, 2 drums) w/o biscuits. Obviously they jacked up the price based on the demand. Buy what you can eat b/c it doesn't taste good reheated, especially for the white meat pieces. Since it's preboxed, then you can specify what kind of dark meat you want. Langley Park has a drive through coming soon. Parking lot a bit shady.
