help with planning meal for veg/gluten free dinner party

poochiechow | Jan 6, 201605:30 PM     17

hi all -

i'm in charge of planning a dinner for 8-9 people for a party in honor of a dear friend. she's really into food and will eat anything, but half the guests are vegetarian and one is gluten free. as you can imagine this makes planning a meal a bit trickier (one or the other would have been fine!) i'm trying to decide whether it makes more sense to do two mains (say, a veg lasagna and a coq a vin) and let people choose which to have, or whether i should try to combine all of the restrictions and make, say, a sweet potato and black bean chili. i'd also like it to be somewhat nice since it's a party for her.

does anyone have any input on cooking for big groups with multiple restrictions, and how to best go about it? specific recipes also totally welcome!

thanks,
P
