Successfully persuaded my company to host our annual departmental meetings in Portland, ME... The challenge: most of the places I know & love in Portland are small and not very group friendly. I need help!
We'll have a group of 16 people in town for 2.5 days, staying near the Civic Center. Meetings part of the day, and eating/team building activities for the rest. Quick snapshot of my crazy Portland "to try" list included for reference!
Would love recommendations for the following:
- Breakfasts - three days of breakfast, either nearby or catered in (Blue Rooster? Aurora Provisions? Figgy's?)
- Lunches - three days of lunches, either nearby or catered in
- Dinners - two days of dinners, anywhere! We're coming to Portland partly because we love it, but mostly for the food. Would love ideas for group friendly meals that will showcase what the city has to offer, rather than resort to some tired cruise ship destination that Yelp titled "good for groups" (aka - without guidance, we'll end up at DiMillo's).
Fun, Portland group activities? Bike riding, whale watching, possibly the Brew Tour (assuming our boss doesn't deem it too unprofessional)?
Thanks in advance for any help!
