A last minute overnight trip finds me in wonderful Pittsburgh. I am staying in the "North Shore" area. After a Sunday afternoon game (Holiday weekend) at PNC we want to grab a bite that evening near our B and B (here is a Map: http://www.thepriory.com/map2.asp)
here is some preferences:
Inexpensive (even hole in wall fine if tasty) to moderate. Casual. willing to change after game, but limited gussy-ing up is preferred
Ethnic- BBQ, west Indian, or perhaps Indian IF authentic. OR fresh seafood shack type place-actually have hankering for soft shell crab. Maybe even local Pittburghian (?) food. Looks like the day will be gorgeous so possible bonus points for a patio or near a cafe or bar with one for before dinner brew or wine.
I really am not in the mood for "new American" , Italian, or high end pizza and such.
I think the Strip District is neat- I have not acclimated myself with a map yet to see if this is close. I have had the obligitory Primanti's sandwich and hit the seafood market when it was open for a sandwich so obnoxious or obscene sandwiches are definetely on the table. We have also enjoyed the micros at Church Brew Works. We really, really want to be able to walk from the B and B or have a VERY short drive-say 2 miles or less. Your thoughts, hounds?
