We hadn't been back to Piora in a while, so we decided to check it out again last night. Turned out, it was one of our most memorable meals of the year in the US.
Phenomenal craft drinks by Jimmy at the bar started off the evening. Now Piora offers two or three course prix fixe meals along with their ala carte selections.
Appetizers of market vegetables were loved by our table, as was the new squash app. To me the standout was their pork belly which was out of this world!!
Their pastas are always wonderful, with their famous bucatini with crab getting raves from our table. Their special pasta of duck filled angolotti was just terrific.
Three of our party got the chicken with foie and loved it. Me, I got their glazed pork chop- one of the best dishes of the year....at least to me!
We were a bit full bit but shared delicious carrot cake for dessert. Service was ultra professional and wonderful. Piora's sommelier Kyle always delivers a wonderful bottle of wine suited to our tastes.
This restaurant has an incredible vibe without being stuffy at all. Easily one of our favorite restaurants in New York. Great night was had by all!
