Out of desperation (alas, no chowhound advice was available), I searched the web and found a Napa restaurant that served on Thanksgiving. I was a little worried because I had not dined at this place before but my partner jeff and I had a decent meal with exceptional service. (This was our first time for eating out on Thanksgiving and the server made us feel right at home - uh, actually better than that!) Chestnut soup was nicely topped with chantrelle mushrooms and fresh thyme.
Found out on my way out that the restaurant is part of a small chain. I started to wonder about the kitchen's regular menu and whether I might want to consider a return visit - knowing that a "crank it out" set menu is problay not where a kitchen would show its flash. Does anyone know about this chain and/or the chef at this restaurant? Has anyone eaten here before? If so, what has been your experience?
