On the way down Route 168 to the OBX, we stopped in atPickett's Crab Hut in Sligo. Actually, we first stopped during a hurricane evac a few yrs ago. I don't have words to describe the bread pudding, collard greens and sweet potato pudding (pie?). The puddings in particular were sublime. Light as a feather, smooth as velvet. My husband loved the sweet pot., and he hates sweet potatoes! they're on the buffet, which only is served Sat. nites and weekday lunches. This is a really country joint, nothing fancy.
