According to Gov. Mario Cuomo, Phase 2 reopening in the Mid-Hudson Region, which includes Westchester, Hudson Valley and Rockland Counties in New York State, will begin on June 9th. If things go according to plan, it will include outdoor dining at restaurants throughout the area. Phase 3 is tentatively scheduled to begin on June 23rd., and will include reopening of restaurants with restrictions. This is, of course, great news for the restaurant community which has been struggling for months. Meanwhile, I hear that some owners have had trouble getting their outdoor dining permits. Perhaps this will now ease. Restaurants in nearby Fairfield County, CT. have been allowed outdoor dining for several weeks now. We have taken advantage first hand, as have many New Yorkers crossing the border.
I, for one, am anxious to get out again in Westchester. Will you be dining out? What are your favorite spots?
