Perfect Torta

I've heard some downhill warnings about Los Dos Rancheros on 9th Ave but my limited experiment there went well. Everything looked really fresh and pleasant in there. Freshly sliced onions and peppers were being fried cleanly and their aroma really got me going.

I ordered a tasty Tamarind agua fresca, perfect to temper the heat of the day. The pollo torta was the largest I've ever had. Nicely stewed black beans, layered with a heap of sliced ice berg. I asked for extra jalapenos but I should've added a reduced or eliminated mayo. It wasn't necessary and they went wild with it. Everything about it was bigger, fresher, and tastier than others I've had including the new favorite Great Burrito which pales in comparison.

Anyone else been lately?
