Hello all,

I'm a new Portland resident living in Alberta. My partner and I have recently relocated from Brooklyn, NY and are navigating around all the yummy food in Portland. So far here around the neighborhood we've spent quite a bit of time at La Sirenita on Alberta x 28th. Chez What was fun but not a terribly memorable dining experience. I've been meaning to check out the taco truck on Alberta around 13th (14th?), I think the name on the side says Elena's. Anyone checked it out? Grocery shopping here has been a real pleasure compared to NY. The Alberta Food Coop is a modest size but has a nice selection of good produce and other wholesome stuff. I've already found myself circling the aisles at Nature's on 15th and Fremont and spending more money than intended. But it is a great store with tons of things that leap right into my cart.

Hope to contribute more to this board as I find my way around . . .

Amanda
