I was walking by Tabla, my favorite for food of the small-plate/wine-oriented places on NE 28th, the other day and noticed that they're doing cooking classes. They have days where they have classes for men only and women only, too. Didn't see the prices. Signed up for their email list, though.
Also noticed that, following clarklewis, they have both half and full orders of everything now.
Also dropped by Taqueria Nueve and grabbed a menu (neither place was open at the time). One of the better menus I've seen there. They had birria de buffalo for $13 and and poc-chuc (Yucatecan pork dish) with xni-pec (habenero salsa) for $12.50. They've also got a mole poblano served very traditionally with turkey on the menu at $14.
