I never went to Papillon or Atlas because the reviews were downright scary food combinations.
Has anyone here had the opportunity to eat at either place before it closed ?

I hear he is opening another place in the palace on Madison and I am just curious.
I consider myself an adventurous diner but I always leave "supercreative" restaurants feeling like it just wasnt worth it..........such as extremely conversation worthy but flavorfully unspectacular meals at places like WD50.
I think I know good food but Venison tartare with edamame Ice cream ????
Sounds great but soooooooo bad................as is the Foie Gras with Bouquerones and Cocoa nibs.......Am I missing the point or is the food press nuts ?

Seriously, I just Read Andrea Strong begging us to give it a chance but I think i would rather have a solid Bolognese at Babbo than some Nitrogen generated Gelatin noodles that miraculously vanish.
