Well, it must have been an hour or so since the last New Park Slope restaurant post, so I figured I'd break this deafening silence by reporting my observation of two new restaurants coming to the South Slope (where you never have to walk far to find a 99-cent store).
On 7th Ave and 14th Street, in the old Paradou space, there is a banner up announcing a vegetarian restaurant. East Meets West or something. All you 7th Ave. types correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, in the spot that formerly housed Smokey's (and its requisite FDNY softball teams) on the chic and fashionable NW corner of 4th Ave and 12th St., there is a sign that simply says "Cantina" which I take to indicate the future presence of a restaurant serving Mexican-type food.
Ok, you can go back to whatever you were doing now....
