To quote Beachbum: "Park Plaza Gardens. I've been there many times. As good as it gets. Classy and delicious." Bob Mervine, who KNOWS Orlando, seconded this suggestion.
I would beg to agree. SO glad I happened to see their reviews of this delightful spot before I found out I was going to be in Winter Park around lunchtime.
The bread basket included the lightest and most savory of focaccia, and a kind of combo breakstick/crouton with parmesan, perfect dipped in the olive oil and balsamic with olives presented on the side. We loved the French dip, and how often that item show up with rare prime rib? Also terrific was the truly medium rare hamburger, and French fries. A matter so often overlooked, the hamburger bun was soft and fresh.
Some business types in the place, but also some casual dressers. Impeccable service, may I say again impeccable.
A hint: The woman working in the Godiva Chocolate store close to the restaurant gave us a twenty per cent off coupon when we asked where this restaurant was, very nice.
