Paris - Quiberon oysters at La Coupole

Bill Strzempek | Jan 6, 2005 12:49 PM

Found one more note from last November - a great tip:

La Coupole's special oysters one night were QUIBERON NO. 1, and they were stunning. I've never had such HUGE oysters before, the oyster itself (not the shell) was literally the size of a newborn baby's fist, and their wonderful fresh briney taste was like jumping into the ocean, that taste just immersed you and refreshed you all over. There was over a tablespoon of liquor in each halfshell so the first one actually did give me a surprise soaking. These things flabbergasted me. Pricey at 6 for 15.30Euros but if you see them on the menu there, go in and have a treat.
