Excellent lunch at Train Bleu while waiting for TGV:
outstanding saucisson lyonnais (tasty caper flavored sauce);above average quenelle and baba.
Very good late night meal at Poule au Pot, in the old Halles area (excellent tripe)
Mediocre meal at Benoit (one star) with bland terrine and cassoulet, as well as a very limited menu and wine list to chose from.
Another great lunch at Helene Darroze in the upstairs dining room. Although I found that the new recipe for foie gras and a poached egg was not much to my liking.
The vegetable appetizer and main course (lamb)+ ample wine and aged armagnacs made up for it.
Any comments on Benoit, which I had not visited in about six years?
