Paris - Crepes, Cakes and Macarons

christinachristina | Jan 17, 201510:04 AM

Hi, I will be in Paris with my husband for the first weekend in February and staying near the Rivoli metro station. We've got reservations for dinner at Verjus one night and Pierre Sang another night. But I have a couple questions:
1) I've never been to Breizh Cafe (which is where I had wanted to go), and it is closed until the 11th February. Any other recommendations for crepes? (I've been to Broceliande and it was underwhelming). I don't really want to travel that far, so was looking at City Crepes Cafe in St Germain. I'm not desperate for crepes, but thought it would be a good option for lunch on one of the days.
2) Also any recommendations for where to have cake? St Honore and Millefeuille are a couple of my favourites types (husband likes chocolate cakes) - I was planning to go to Angelina as it is close and I thought their cakes were great the last time I was there. I've also been to Laduree which I did enjoy, but would be happy for any other ideas?
3) And finally, any recommendations of where to buy macaroons - these are to take back home with us for our children (In the past I've bought from Laduree and they are quite amazing so I would be happy to go back there. But one time I bought some from a random shop and ended up throwing them all out because they were just too sugary and tasteless)
Thanks in advance for your help!
