If you have a package of Bob's Red Mill Buttermilk Powder, could you please confirm that this is the recipe you see on the back for "bob's cornmeal mountain pancakes" ?
While on a cleaning rampage this week, I re-packaged the buttermilk in a plastic container and threw away the wrapper, which had the delicious pancakes recipe on the back!!! It's the one I referred to in this thread:
that turns out so fluffy when substituting whole wheat pastry flour for the all-purpose
But now everyone wants those same pancakes tomorrow AM !
From looking at the Buttermilk Powder picture in this link at 200%
I *believe* the recipe (with my modification below) is:
bob's cornmeal mountain pancakes
1/2 TEA sea salt
1/2 TEA baking soda
2 TEAs baking powder
1.5 cups (reconstituted) buttermilk
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour (modified from original all purpose) , but amount should be 1 cup)
That ratio of baking SODA to baking POWDER sounds right... but 2'nd opinion thinks the picture shows the recipe as 2 TABLEs of baking powder.
(Oh, I always re-write recipes using TEA = tsp and TABLE = tbsp, just for this reason -- you can't goof visually.)
