DH and I visited Settebello in The Collection mall in Oxnard. They opened in October 2013. They serve authentic Napolitan pizza using high-quality imported and carefully-sourced domestic ingredients, and it shows. The wine list includes Italian and American wines that are interesting, uncommon and, IMO, well-priced. There is a happy hour ending at 6:00 p.m. (Not sure when it begins.) Fresh salads, salumi plates (properly sliced paper-thin on a magnificent $7,000 hand-cranked bright red slicer), interesting antipasti and excellent desserts. It's beautiful to look at and comfortable with a large triangular bar, small tables and booths. But it is the blister-crusted pizza out of the Italian wood-fired oven that is the standout. (The same oven in Eataly NYC.) Perfectly balanced with a thin crust and just the right amount of toppings. Go there.
