Origin India update

I hadn't thought about eating here in awhile, but when some friends who were staying in a condo very nearby offered to treat us to dinner we decided "why not?" Just wanted to note that although the menu seems totally different than the last time I ate there, it is still worth a visit. I think we will go back again soon for Happy Hour: its Monday through Friday from 5 to 7, and features "buy one get one free" cocktails and appetizers. The vegetable samosas were very good, and the cocktails are amazing. We wanted to drink our way through the specialty cocktail menu, but given that we were driving that didn't seem like such a great idea. I had the "Mumbai Fizz" and although I really enjoyed it its probably more of a hot-weather drink (served in a tall glass with ice). Friday definitely wasn't a hot-weather kind of day :-) My friend loved her gulabtini (with rose water) so much she had two, and the mangotini was good as well. But the real hit was Hubby's cocktail...unfortunately the name escapes me. Look for the last cocktail on the list with a difficult to pronounce name, two words, both start with the letter S. It has mint in it....and tasted like bhel puri in a glass. Heaven!
