Went to the Orchard last night for dinner and very much enjoyed the experience. At this point, the restaurant has not yet obtained a liquor licence so we brought a really nice pinot noir with which to enjoy the meal. Neither of us were particuarly hungry so we just decided to share some of the most interesting options.
We started off with the steak tartare flatbread which was really nice. It was paired with a bit of arugula and parmesean and was quite enjoyable. Additionally we ordered the tuna tartar which came on a plate with creme fraishe, guacamole and what seemed to be miniature potato pancakes. We share the butternut squash angliotti as the main entree, which was extremely rich but entirely yummy. We concluded as we typically do with the warm flourless chocolate cake which i have to admit was one of the best I have had (and I have had many) in NY.
Overall, it was a really enjoyable dinner and somewhere I would definately return to.
