Just open in Hoboken: Frozen Monkey Cafe

Walking by the old lighting store that's been becoming a restaurant for months has filled me with fear. The problem was the Taste-d-Lite sign on the window. In Manhattan, those frozen yougurt places are usually dreadful.

But I popped into this spot -- The Frozen Monkey Cafe -- and the place is really cute. Obviously looking for a hipster crowd and getting it, from what I saw. I had a really good chicken sandwich and they've got all kinds of other stuff, including desserts from the estimable Little Pie Company in Hell's Kitchen. Great music (ska -- real, 1960s ska was playing). Nice owners, too...
