Ongpin in Daly City -- Terrible

SF-Glen | May 31, 200412:12 AM     8

We often eat at the Ongpin in South San Francisco. I think their filipino food is some of the best this side of Vallejo. We picked up take-away from the Ongpin in Daly City, which I believe is owned by the same family, and were shocked at how bad the food was. Pork adobo, beefstik and sinigang na baboy all had zero -- and I mean zero -- flavor. I love pork adobo; I would have preferred plain boiled pork instead of the inedible dish we received. We ended up dumping soy and fish sauce all over the food to give it some taste.

Do not go to this Ongpin.
