Oliviers & co - olive oil (SF)

Celery | Feb 26, 200208:43 AM     1

While wandering up Fillmore Street last nite came across a store I am totally excited about. It's been open about 2 months now.

It's Oliviers & Co at 2208 Fillmore St (next to La Mediterranean). They sell olives oils from around the Mediterranean, including oils from France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Tunisia, Israel (kosher for Passover) and Croatia - and even Uruguay (for that beyond the Mediterranean flavor).

They also have some dried herbs, tapenades, flavored oils (lemon, basil, rosemary, truffle), olive oil soaps, creams, and more.

They are a French company
(website www.oliviers-co.com) and the woman working last nite was full of advice and recipes and ideas on using the ingredients. They have an extensive brochure listing what the oils taste like and how best to use them.

Good thing I don't live closer or I'd just have to have my paycheck deposited there!
