Olive Lounge (Secret Tavern in Takoma Park)

Foodgeek | Nov 19, 201508:06 AM

I know some of you will know about this since it has been open 7 years, but Olive Lounge is BEHIND Middle East. You enter through Middle East when it is open, or through parking lot (people who own the lot charge for parking). Olive Lounge has good beer at good prices (which is seriously odd for Montgomery Cty), Tuesday burger night, Happy Hour specials, and secret menu items (Takoma Burrito, Felafel Taco). They don't advertise. I got a Leffe for $5 and it wasn't even happy hour. They let me order for the Middle East Menu (good and authentic but not amazing) but they have their own menu too. I ordered foul madamas, baba ganouj, and a chicken shwarma platter.

It's funny that I accidentally found the tavern after moving to TP 2 weeks ago when some people who've been here forever don't know about it.
