In October I had a chance to try OBO' Italian Table & Bar, the latest edition from the Selland Family of restaurants with a friend. It's a fast casual set-up where you order and pay at the counter, then the food is brought to your table. I heeded my friend's advice that the desserts are the best thing going here. Our dinner was two desserts, one salad and one pasta to share, then one more dessert to take home with us for later.

Tasting bore out her take. While the Butternut squash and hankerchef pasta and Autumn apple and blue cheese salad were tasty enough, there was a haphazard, muddle of flavors about them. The sheets of pasta were all stuck together.

However, I did love the cherry cream puff and the chocolate budino. At $4.50 apiece, they're a bargain for such quality. The apple crostata was breakfast the next morning, a great start to the day.
