My parents are coming in to Manhattan from Connecticut for lunch, and they're very picky. They tend to only like American food, and don't like expensive things (basically the complete opposite of me!) They only eat at diners, Cheesecake Factory, "American" restaurants, and luckily for me, a good burger place in my hometown. I wanted to pick something near Grand Central to make it easier as my stepdad can't walk too far.
We're dining with my bf's mom (they've met already, phew!) who is visiting for the weekend. She doesn't like big meals, so the rest of her visit we are just stopping by food halls and stuff with her. We are going to MOMA afterwards so anything around GCT or MOMA would work.
I would love a place that my bf and I would enjoy, but is "normal" and inexpensive enough for our parents. Any ideas? I live downtown and avoid midtown like the plague so I don't have any go-to's.
