Tried a relatively new Japanese restaurant on 7th at 21st and it was excellent! They have a different menu with unique choices alongside the traditional sushi. I heard that one of the owners of the new Momoya has been the Chef at Nobu.
Our dinner included: a Salmon/grapefruit/roe tartar thing??, Beet goat cheese salad with walnuts, Shrimp Shumai, Eel sushi wrapped in thinly slice cucumber and finally, an awesome Chilean Sea Bass with spinach and lemon sauce.
It was moderately busy but the service was good. Prices are also reasonable. I think they just started serving lunch too. I highly recommend it!
