NY Style Pizza In Dupont Circle

I stopped at Goody's (20th St and P St NW, Washington, DC 20050) the other day and had a very good slice of NY style pizza. As an ex New Yorker I was quite impressed. It wasn't the best slice of NY style pizza I've had in my entire life but it was the best I've had in this area. The crust was nice, thin and slightly crisp. It wasn't over sauced and overly greasy either.

They are your typical hole in the wall pizza joint. They have maybe 6 tables crammed in there and an unusual collection of DC licence plates on the wall. They also serve sandwitches but I didn't get any. They do have various cookies and cakes avaliable for dessert. I was impressed that they heated my chocholate chip cookie up before serving it. At nice touch.

The staff was really friendly. I talked to one of the ladies on the way out and she said that their pizza guy was from Brooklyn.

This is my new favorite NY pizza place in the area.
