The best nutmeg mill?

CHSeifert | Jan 17, 202107:46 PM     34

I’m looking to get a nutmeg mill. I’ve tried the Peugeot Tidore mill, but it seems to grate the nutmeg too coarsely.

What do you recommend instead?

I already own several Microplane graters and they’re fantastic, but I’m looking for a dedicated nutmeg mill with container to store 4-5-6 nutmegs. I prefer a mill over a grater, because of the added precision.

When I use my Microplane grater, the nutmeg ends all over the stovetop and sometimes I even drop the whole nutmeg into the pan.

I think a nutmeg mill is the solution to my little nutmeg problem ;-)

I can see Microplane makes a dedicated black nutmeg mill. Anyone with experiences with that mill?

Cheers, Claus
