I remain in search of the best northern Indian food in San Francisco proper. I don't rule out the many dives but do look askance at the likes of Indian Oven -- an over priced and, to my mind, not particularly terrific place. I've tried Sultan and Darbar and liked them both very much, particularly the latter. I wasn't crazy about board favorite Lahore Karahi. Pakwan is another favorite, particularly the one in the Tenderloin (which is often much better than the 16th St. locale). Any new candidates I should try?
