Noodle Alcove update

joypirate | Jun 26, 2003 04:55 PM

Just a quick note to mention that I went for lunch today and they've expanded their menu since the last time I went on Saturday (I've been a bit of an addict lately). I figured the best way to beat the heat today was a hot bowl of duck noodle soup but switched it up to wonton noodle when I saw the new options. It now translates the cold dishes and the most impressive change is the expansion of the noodle soups. They've got a 'noodle soup' section and a 'hand drawn noodle soup' section and I believe a 'hand drawn fried noodle' section. They haven't changed the takeout menu so I can't do a side-by-side listing of the changes but it looks good and builds on their strengths which are, duh, noodles. Had a good salt and pepper shrimp on Saturday though served with the shells on (and not fried quite long enough to make them tender), served head on which was tasty.
