I had the best North Carolina style pig barbeque I've ever had two weekends ago in Cape May. The proprietor was JB's Bar-B-Q. He showed up at Rea's farm market with two black grills and two flattened whole pigs still smoking. He served freshly pulled pork sandwiches offered with a thin, spicy vinegar-based sauce. I never pass up a real barbeque opportunity and this pork was just outstanding -- juicy, flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the rolls he used were very good too. The sauce was a perfect complement. I asked him if he did anything special to the pigs before smoking them and he said no. Boy those porkers were tasty. It was so good I would have eaten another but he put too much on the first bun and he wouldn't sell me any to go! He did give me a card for his takeout shop, which is located at 201 Hurst Ave, Rio Grande, NJ, which I'll definitely try to find the next time I'm in town. You also might want to call to see where he is rolling his pigs to next: 609-886-7675. I don't know if they offer sides, there were none at the BBQ.
