One night only in New Orleans in June--which restaurant?

tmayson | Apr 9, 201502:26 PM

I am helping a friend drive from Dallas to Tampa the second week of June--we (rather, I), plan to arrive in time for the happy hour at Domenica.

I am looking for a "classic" dinner in New Orleans, since my friend is taking me out for a nice dinner in exchange for driving help. If it wasn't June, I would definitely pick Casamento's. So far,I have narrowed my choices to:
--Mr. B's (I am jonesing for BBQ shrimp)
--Tujague's
--Clancy's
--Upperline

Any other recommendations would be great. Bacchanal looks fantastic, but I think we are looking for more traditional offerings.

A good wine list is a plus. We are staying at one of the Omni hotels in town (not sure which one), but taking taxis are okay.

Also, would it be better to walk to Cafe du Monde for beignets or drive to Morning Call on our way out of town? Is there anywhere to park near City Park for MC?

Thanks in advance, y'all
