After reading about this place as one of the many alleged birthplaces of the breakfast burrito, I tried one today.
It contained eggs, chorizo, home-fries and cheese, and was about medium sized (bigger than a Burrito Supreme, smaller than a Chipotle burrito). I use those size references because of their ubiquity, not as a subtle endorsement or comparison.
The burrito and a medium coffee set me back $5.76. The coffee wasn't very good.
Overall, I was disappointed. The burrito was good, but not mind-blowingly so, and certainly not $4.50 worth of good. It filled me up past lunch...you could cut it in half and split it.
Nick's is on Main St, and opens at 7. While I was there, 3 people ordered food (including another breakfast burrito). I have heard it's popular with the surf set.
Hopefully I'll be able to find other winners in SB...I was hoping pretty hard for Nick's to be a winner and worth a return trip.
