Ok, I just found this place. It's was recommended to me, and I drove to it from LaGrange GA (about a 30 minute drive). It is also about 40 minutes south of midtown Atlanta. This place is astounding. It has all the hallmarks of a great foodies restaurant. It's in a strip center that looks like it's going bankrupt. Go inside, and the place looks like a five star restaurant adorned with tasteful black and white photos of orchids from around the world. Samantha the owner has some of the most innovative recipes I have tasted in Thai cooking, and her hot and sour soup is fantastic. It's as good (but very different) than the best Hot and Sour soup I've ever had, which was at the way at the late restaurant Lotus Eaters on Fifth Avenue in NYC. Her Hot and Sour soup is based on a chicken stock, and is built up with cilantro and other unusual spices. I finally asked her how she thickens the soup. Tapioca starch (the secret is out).
In any even, the number there is 770-503-9889. It's located at 257 Temple avenue. You will not find this place without directions so call first. About $15.00 per person with soup and appetizer. Lunch is less.
