Some friends and I ate at Nellie's this weekend. There was something different this time. I remembered having very lightly breaded fried chicken with complex seasoning the last time I ate there (about 5 months ago). But this weekend it was closer to a standard thicker breading and not as well seasoned.
PLEASE someone tell me that there are two styles of fried chicken on the menu and I just ordered the wrong one.
One of the friends let me try some of the fried pork chop. It was terrific.
The greens and yams are better than ever, the corn is still sad, the black-peas came at room temperature, the cornbread muffins have a higher frequency of arriving either cold or burnt, and the service was painfully slow for a change.
