Six of us headed out to Naya last weekend (Sat night)for dinner. We tried a variety of dishes, including most of the ones reviewed by LA Times just a few days prior. All in all, I'd say its a pretty good restaurant and I would go back.
Two caveats however - important if you are with finicky people as I was...
1 - People tend to linger over their meals, as you should if its good, and so, even with reservations, it may take a little while (20-30 minutes late) to be seated. To be fair, this may have been partly due to the increase in business from the review just 3 days prior.
2 - There is no real area to wait. People are eating at the small bar and the hostess was really not pleased with us standing in the doorway and so after repeated requests for us to move we were forced to stand in the waiter's pathway by the bar. Not really much room for this, and so you end up dodging the waiters, while trying not to stand too close to the members of your party (who likes a close-talker?) or the people sitting at the bar.
