Nashville Summary

I primarily went to places offered up somewhere on Chowhoound. Here's what I found:
Jack's BBQ - cafeteria style service with good brisket and pulled pork, 3 different sauces to add as you like and plenty of seating upstairs.
Rotier's - a real dive bar with the greasiest, not the best burger I've ever had. Very disappointing.
Pancake Pantry - the sweet potato pancakes are unique and delicious. However, I have a personal 45-minute maximum waiting time for breakfast and I just made it under the wire. Any more and it would not have been worth it. Bring something to read while you wait on line outside.
Wildhorse Saloon - was not on any list but I found myself there at dinner time. The music and dancing elevated the basic pub food. It's well worth a visit.
Germantown Cafe - go there now! I went for brunch and everything was terrific, starting with the simple, attractive decor and friendly, professional staff. The crab cakes, chicken/cheese omelette and Bloody Mary were all as good as I've ever had and the pepperjack grits were the first grits I truly enjoyed. The complimentary homemade donuts in our bread basket were a delight.
Bosco's Brewery - the best burger in town and a nice selection of tasty homebrews.
Tio Luis - surprisingly good breakfast burrito considering it was at the airport.
Final note - many eateries are closed on Sunday so check before you go.
